Could a simple drink stop diarrhea faster?
NCT ID NCT05814042
Summary
This study tested whether adding calcium to standard oral rehydration solution (ORS) could reduce the severity and duration of acute watery diarrhea in adults. Researchers compared the new calcium-enhanced ORS against the standard WHO formula in 396 adults with diarrhea in Bangladesh. The goal was to see if the new formula could reduce stool output by 30% and help people recover faster.
