New hope for older myeloma patients: experimental drug combo enters major trial

Summary

This study is testing whether adding an experimental drug called etentamig to standard treatment works better for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients who aren't eligible for stem cell transplant. About 660 adults worldwide will receive either the new combination or current standard therapy to compare effectiveness and safety. The trial will measure how well the treatment controls the cancer, how long patients stay cancer-free, and monitor side effects over approximately 16 years.
