New hope for myeloma patients: could ramantamig plus daratumumab outperform standard care?

NCT ID NCT07665450

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This phase 3 trial will compare a new treatment, ramantamig plus daratumumab, against two standard drug combinations for people newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma who are not eligible for a stem cell transplant. The study aims to see if the new combo can keep the cancer from progressing longer and achieve deeper remission. Around 1,000 participants will be enrolled, and the trial is not yet recruiting.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Ramantamig (a drug) plus daratumumab, compared to standard combinations of daratumumab, bortezomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone

What this could lead to

If successful, this could offer a more effective first-line treatment option for people with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma who cannot have a stem cell transplant, potentially delaying disease progression.

What could go wrong

This is a large phase 3 trial, but it hasn't started yet. The new drug combination may not prove better than existing treatments, and side effects from the drug combination are possible.
