Faster brain scan aims to spot tumors more clearly

NCT ID NCT02956291

Summary

This study is testing a new type of MRI scan called magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF) to see if it can improve how doctors diagnose and monitor brain tumors. Researchers will compare the detailed pictures from this new scan with standard scans, biopsy results, and patient outcomes. The goal is to see if this method can better tell different tumor types apart and distinguish real tumor regrowth from harmless changes caused by previous treatments.
