New hope for Tough-to-Treat mesothelioma: targeted chemo shows promise
NCT ID NCT02611037
Summary
This study tested whether delivering chemotherapy drugs directly to the tumor through blood vessels could help control advanced pleural mesothelioma. The trial involved 34 adults whose cancer couldn't be removed by surgery and who hadn't responded to standard chemotherapy. Researchers measured whether this targeted approach could slow cancer growth while managing side effects.
