Could a simple scan replace painful liver biopsies?

Summary
This study is testing a new type of ultrasound that measures liver stiffness to detect scarring (fibrosis) in people with fatty liver disease (MASLD/MASH). Researchers will compare this new method to the current standard tests: a liver biopsy and a FibroScan. The goal is to see if this new ultrasound can accurately diagnose liver damage without the need for a biopsy.
