New smart insulin pump enters safety testing for diabetes patients

Summary
This study is testing whether a new automated insulin pump system called MiniMed NMX8 is safe for people with diabetes. The trial will include 400 children and adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who will use the pump for 90 days while researchers monitor their blood sugar levels. Participants will be randomly assigned to different groups to compare how the pump performs with different meal management approaches.
