Pill-Sized camera could offer new view inside the throat

NCT ID NCT02202590

Summary

This study is testing a new, swallowable imaging capsule to see if it can take clear pictures of the inside of the esophagus (the food pipe). The goal is to see if this method is comfortable for people and works well enough to help doctors spot signs of a condition called Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE). Participants swallow a small capsule attached to a thin cord, and images are taken as it moves down naturally.
