First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a new hybrid catheter that takes two types of pictures (sound and light) inside heart arteries at the same time. Researchers want to see if it is safer and more accurate at finding dangerous fatty plaques than the standard single-picture method. The study was planned for 50 heart attack patients but was withdrawn before enrolling anyone.
