Breakthrough trial tests dissolving stent to fix clogged arteries

Summary
This study is testing a new type of heart stent that dissolves over time against the standard permanent metal stent. It aims to see if the dissolving stent is at least as safe and effective for opening blocked heart arteries. The trial will enroll 2000 adults with coronary artery disease who need a stent procedure.
