Mayo clinic tests breakthrough scanner to see heart disease like never before
NCT ID NCT05240807
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of CT scanner can take clearer pictures of the heart to help doctors better understand the severity of coronary artery disease. Researchers will compare images from the new scanner to standard scans in 450 patients already scheduled for heart imaging. The goal is to see if the improved images lead to different and better treatment recommendations for patients.
