Breakthrough heart procedure trial seeks to tame dangerous irregular heartbeats

NCT ID NCT06510556

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the FARAFLEX system for people with persistent or paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition causing irregular heartbeats. The procedure uses pulsed field ablation, a newer type of energy, to create small scars in the heart that block the abnormal electrical signals causing AFib. Researchers want to see if this new system is safe and effective at controlling these irregular heart rhythms in 250 participants.
