Hospital tests painless sugar monitor that could replace needle pricks

NCT ID NCT07448805

Summary

This study is testing how accurate and reliable a new continuous glucose monitoring system is for critically ill patients in intensive care. Researchers will place small sensors on patients' arms to measure blood sugar continuously, then compare these readings to standard blood tests taken by medical staff. The goal is to see if this less invasive method could help monitor blood sugar levels in hospitalized patients.
