Summary

This study is testing if adding a special milk-derived ingredient (MFGM) to the standard therapeutic food given to children with severe malnutrition can improve their brain development and reduce the worst outcomes like death or hospitalization. Researchers in Sierra Leone will compare the new food to the standard version in 1,600 children aged 6-59 months. The main goal is to see if the enhanced food helps kids recover more completely, both in body and mind.
