Finger-Prick test could revolutionize early diabetes detection in kids

NCT ID NCT06984185

Summary

This study is testing a new, easier way to screen for early signs of type 1 diabetes in children. Researchers are comparing a simple finger-prick test done at home on blotting paper to the standard, more complex blood tests drawn from a vein. The goal is to validate this simpler method so it can be used widely to catch the disease earlier, before symptoms appear.
