New eye dye could sharpen vision of retinal disease

NCT ID NCT04008121

Summary

This early study is testing a new dye called MB-102 for eye scans. The goal is to see if it is safe and works as well as the current standard dye for taking pictures of blood vessels in the back of the eye. The pictures help doctors diagnose and monitor diseases like diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. The study will include about 10 people, some with healthy eyes and some with existing retinal disease.
