New eye drop enters final testing to battle dry eyes

Summary

This study aims to see if a new artificial tear formula, ABBV-444, works better and is as safe as a widely used brand, Refresh Optive, for people with dry eye disease. About 250 adults with moderate to severe dry eye symptoms will use one of the two eye drops for 90 days. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms, eye surface health, and safety to determine if the new formula is more effective.
