Trial tests pill to tame nausea from popular Weight-Loss shots

NCT ID NCT06500429

Summary

This study tested if a new oral medication called NG101 can help manage common stomach side effects, like nausea and vomiting, that people often get from GLP-1 weight-loss drugs like semaglutide. About 120 healthy adults with a body mass index (BMI) between 22 and 35 received a single shot of semaglutide and then took either NG101 or a placebo pill for 5 days. Researchers compared the two groups to see if NG101 was safe and if it reduced the number and severity of stomach-related side effects.
