Stanford tests new drain to speed recovery after breast cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT05975359
Summary
This study is testing a new type of surgical drain called the Interi system against the standard drain used after breast reconstruction surgery. Researchers want to see if the new drain is safer, more comfortable, and helps patients recover faster by removing fluid more effectively. The study involves 20 women who are having breast reconstruction with implants after a mastectomy.
