Better-Looking shoes aim to prevent diabetic foot amputations
NCT ID NCT07488104
Summary
This study is testing a new type of orthopedic shoe called the LEEF-shoe for people with diabetes-related nerve damage. It aims to see if this shoe, which is designed to be more attractive and easier to prescribe, works as well as standard orthopedic shoes at reducing pressure on the feet to prevent ulcers. Thirty participants will try both shoe types for several weeks while researchers measure foot pressure, how often they wear the shoes, and their overall experience.
