New drug aims to fix the Body's insulin system in diabetes

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug called maridebart cafraglutide to see if it can help the body use insulin better and improve how the pancreas produces insulin in people with type 2 diabetes. The trial will enroll 70 adults who are already taking metformin. Participants will receive either the new drug or a placebo for 25 weeks to measure its effects and safety.
