Suction device could revolutionize IUD placement pain

NCT ID NCT07290517

Summary

This study compares two methods for holding the cervix steady during IUD insertion: a new suction device versus the standard clamp. Researchers want to see if the suction device causes less pain for patients and is easier for doctors to use. About 100 women getting IUDs will be randomly assigned to one method and report their pain levels.
