New scan could spot Crohn's scarring before It's too late

NCT ID NCT07273188

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can detect early scar tissue (fibrosis) in the small bowel of people with Crohn's disease. Researchers want to know if this scan can spot scarring before it causes a stricture, which is a dangerous narrowing of the intestine. They will compare scan results from patients who have strictures to those who don't, to see if the new method works.
