Gut radiation + immunotherapy: a new hope for tough esophageal cancers?

NCT ID NCT07339488

Summary

This study is testing a new combination treatment for people with esophageal cancer that is difficult or impossible to remove with surgery right away. The goal is to see if adding a very low dose of radiation to the intestines to an immunotherapy and chemotherapy regimen can shrink tumors enough to make surgery possible. The study will enroll about 43 adults with this specific type of cancer to see how well the treatment works and how safe it is.
