Targeted radiation & immune therapy combo tested to shrink tough colon tumors

NCT ID NCT07230639

Summary

This study is testing a new three-part treatment for people with high-risk colon cancer that doesn't typically respond well to immunotherapy alone. It combines a special type of radiation designed to spare lymph nodes, followed by chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug (PD-1 inhibitor). The main goal is to see if this approach can completely eliminate the tumor before surgery, which could lead to better long-term outcomes for patients.
