New pill aims to crush stubborn cholesterol in High-Risk patients

Summary
This study tested whether a new combination pill containing two drugs (obicetrapib and ezetimibe) could lower 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) more effectively than a placebo or either drug alone. It involved 407 adults with a genetic cholesterol disorder (HeFH) or established heart disease who were already on the strongest cholesterol medications they could tolerate. The goal was to see if adding this new pill provided better cholesterol control to help prevent future heart attacks and strokes.
