New scan seeks to spot hidden cancer

NCT ID NCT04621435

Summary

This study is testing a new imaging agent called FAP-2286 to see if it can help doctors better find cancer that has spread (metastasized) in adults with solid tumors. Participants receive a small amount of a radioactive tracer that attaches to a protein common in many cancers, which is then seen on a PET scan. The main goals are to check the safety of the tracer and see how well it can detect tumors compared to standard imaging methods.
