New scan could spot hidden cancer spread more accurately

Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan called [¹⁸F]FAPI-74 to see if it can better detect when stomach or esophageal cancer has spread to other parts of the body. The trial will involve 200 adults with these cancers who are being evaluated for treatment. Researchers will compare the new scan's accuracy to current standard methods over about 24 months.
