Trial aims to personalize and improve Pre-Surgery breast cancer treatment

Summary
This study is comparing a newer drug, trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd), to the standard pre-surgery treatment for people with non-metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer. About 370 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug or the standard treatment for three cycles. The main goal is to see if the new drug is more effective at eliminating cancer from the breast and lymph nodes before surgery, and to find markers in the tumor or blood that might help predict which treatment works best for each person.
