New hope for Tough-to-Treat breast cancer: experimental drug trial opens

Summary
This study is testing a new drug called patritumab deruxtecan (U3-1402) for people with advanced breast cancer that is hormone-receptor positive and has stopped responding to standard hormone-blocking therapies and a specific type of targeted drug (CDK4/6 inhibitors). Participants will receive the new drug by IV every three weeks to see if it can shrink tumors and control the cancer. The study will also look for markers in the body that might predict who benefits most from this treatment.
