Scientists test High-Tech scan to map aggressive brain cancer

NCT ID NCT06059690

Summary

This study aims to test a new combined MRI and PET scan technique to better see and measure the aggressive, energy-consuming parts of brain tumors called glioblastoma. Researchers will scan adults who are already scheduled for tumor removal surgery and compare the scan results with lab tests on the actual removed tumor tissue. The goal is to see if this new imaging method can reliably identify the most active and invasive cancer cells to help guide future treatments.
