Spinal fluid drug delivery offers hope for devastating brain cancer spread
NCT ID NCT04588545
Summary
This study is testing whether radiation therapy followed by targeted cancer drugs delivered directly into the spinal fluid is safe and effective for treating HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to the lining of the brain and spinal cord. The trial will involve 39 patients with this advanced condition. Researchers want to find the best dose and see if this approach helps people live longer.
