New targeted cancer pill enters human testing for Tough-to-Treat tumors

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new oral medicine called PF-07799933, both alone and combined with other drugs, for people with advanced solid tumors that have a specific BRAF gene change and have stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see how the body processes the drug, while also checking if it helps shrink tumors. The study will enroll about 267 participants aged 16 and older with cancers like melanoma, lung cancer, or colorectal cancer.
