Summary

This study is testing whether a new blood thinner called abelacimab causes fewer bleeding problems than the standard medication rivaroxaban in people with atrial fibrillation. It involved 1,287 patients aged 55+ who need long-term blood thinners to prevent strokes. The main goal is to see which treatment has a better safety profile regarding bleeding events.
