Breakthrough stroke prevention trial for High-Risk heart patients

This large Phase 3 study is testing two new injectable drugs, REGN7508 and REGN9933, to prevent strokes and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) who cannot safely take standard oral blood thinners. The study will compare these experimental drugs against a placebo in over 2,600 participants to see which works better at preventing strokes while causing fewer serious bleeding problems. Researchers will monitor participants for several years to determine if these new treatments provide a safer alternative for high-risk patients.
