New scan aims to spot hidden bladder cancer spread

NCT ID NCT04018053

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can more accurately determine how far muscle-invasive bladder cancer has spread compared to standard CT or MRI scans. Researchers will enroll 16 participants who are scheduled for bladder removal surgery. The goal is to see if this new imaging method can better find cancer in nearby lymph nodes, which current scans sometimes miss.
