VA tests natural brain chemicals as potential Non-Addictive solution for Veterans' back pain

Summary

This study aims to find safe, non-addictive treatments for chronic low back pain in US military veterans. It will test two naturally occurring brain chemicals, pregnenolone and DHEA, to see if they can reduce pain. The trial will involve 108 veterans and will carefully adjust doses to find the most effective and well-tolerated amount for each person.
