New antibiotic combo tested to help keep babies in longer after early water break

NCT ID NCT06396078

Summary

This study is testing whether a new combination of three antibiotics works better than the current standard antibiotics to help prolong pregnancy and improve outcomes for both mother and baby when water breaks too early (before 34 weeks). The research involves 56 hospitalized pregnant individuals who will receive either the new antibiotic regimen or the current standard treatment. The goal is to see if the new antibiotics can keep the baby safely in the womb longer and reduce complications.
