First seen Jun 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a new breathing device (MOPA) that delivers oxygen, monitors carbon dioxide, and supports the airway during sedated gastrointestinal endoscopy. About 1,518 adults aged 18-80 will be randomly assigned to receive either the MOPA or standard care. The goal is to see if the MOPA reduces the chance of dangerously low oxygen levels during the procedure.
