First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested new adhesive materials on healthy skin and skin around stomas (surgical openings) to see how well they stick. 114 adults took part, including people with colostomies, ileostomies, or urostomies. Researchers took photos to measure how much of the adhesive stayed attached. The goal was to find better materials for medical devices that stick to the skin.
