30 volunteers to reveal how long vaccine antibodies last against two viruses

NCT ID NCT07085611

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will follow 30 adults who have received vaccines or antibody treatments for COVID-19 or monkeypox. Researchers will take blood and optional nasal swabs over time to measure how well the body's antibodies neutralize these viruses. The goal is to better understand how long protection lasts and whether nasal antibodies play a role.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors understand how long protection from vaccines or antibody treatments lasts against COVID-19 and monkeypox.

What could go wrong

This is a small observational study with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It measures antibodies in the lab, not actual infection prevention.
