Brain waves vs. bowel pain: can mind training ease chronic aches?

NCT ID NCT07473076

Summary

This study is testing whether a brain training technique called neurofeedback can help manage chronic pain in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will enroll 80 adults with IBD and persistent musculoskeletal pain. Half will receive eight sessions of neurofeedback therapy, while the other half will receive no psychological treatment, to see if the brain training reduces pain intensity.
