Brain training fights cancer treatment pain
NCT ID NCT02543320
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a therapy called neurofeedback can help reduce acute pain caused by radiotherapy in patients with head and neck cancer. Neurofeedback uses sensors and software to measure brainwave activity, aiming to teach patients how to modify their own brainwaves to lessen pain perception. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach can improve comfort and quality of life during a difficult treatment.
