Could less frequent hospital checks protect brain injury Patients' minds?
NCT ID NCT06219889
Summary
This study aims to find out if checking brain injury patients every hour versus every other hour affects their short-term confusion (delirium) and long-term thinking skills. Researchers will enroll 120 adults with a specific type of brain bleed (intracerebral hemorrhage) in the ICU. They will randomly assign patients to one of the two checking schedules and measure confusion during the hospital stay and memory/thinking abilities six months later.
