Scientists hunt for clues in neuroblastoma cells
NCT ID NCT01587300
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study collects tissue, blood, and bone marrow samples from 1,000 children with high-risk neuroblastoma. Researchers will analyze these samples to learn more about how the cancer grows and how to detect it better. The goal is to improve future treatments and monitoring of the disease.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this research could lead to better ways to detect neuroblastoma and track how well treatments are working.
What could go wrong
This is an observational biology study, not a treatment trial. It may not directly lead to new therapies, and results may take years to apply.
