Could a simple ultrasound scan spot nerve damage sooner?
NCT ID NCT06615622
Summary
This study is testing whether ultrasound imaging of nerves can help doctors diagnose Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) earlier than current methods. Researchers will perform nerve ultrasounds and standard nerve tests on 90 patients to see if ultrasound changes match other test results and predict recovery. The goal is to find a faster, non-invasive way to identify these serious nerve disorders.
