Zapping a neck nerve to help a failing heart

Summary
This study tested whether gently stimulating a nerve in the neck (the vagus nerve) could help improve the heart's structure and function in people with moderate to severe heart failure. It involved 118 participants who had a weakened heart muscle. The goal was to see if this nerve stimulation, delivered by a small implanted device, could help control the disease by improving how well the heart pumps and reducing its size over six months.
