Summary

This study tested whether specific nerve blocks in the chest could improve recovery after heart bypass surgery. Researchers compared two types of nerve blocks against standard pain medication in 243 patients. They measured how long patients needed breathing support, their pain levels, and how quickly they could get moving again.
