First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 38 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether blocking nerve signals to the prostate can slow or stop the spread of high-risk prostate cancer. Researchers will give one or two injections of a nerve-blocking agent before surgery to see if it reduces nerve activity around the tumor. The study involves 21 men who are already scheduled for prostate removal surgery.
