Can a simple nerve block stop chronic pain after breast cancer surgery?

Summary

This study looks at two types of nerve blocks (pectoral nerve block and paravertebral block) to see which one better prevents long-term pain after mastectomy. About 90 women having mastectomy will be randomly assigned to one of the two blocks. The goal is to reduce the chance of chronic pain, which can greatly affect quality of life.
